The Maestro is a Breaks DJ based in South-West UK, currently resident for & co-promoter of Inferno (Breakbeat & Drum n' Bass night based in around the Somerset area) alongside SK-2 & Hirize.
The Maestro started off his DJ career back in the mid 90's playing mainly Acid & Minimal Techno. He held down a residency with GBH Events from 1996 to 1999, first at now legendary South-West venue Pawlett Manor where he played until it was finally demolished in '98, before moving on to play in Bristol at clubs such as Lakota and The Depot where he also had residencies.
Work commitments then forced him to move to France for 4 years, where he ended up getting bookings from clubs on the North, West and South coasts.
After moving back to England in 2003 he got very much into the whole Breakbeat sound (goodbye minimal techno!! hello fatt beats!!) & in 2006 teamed up with fellow ex-GBH DJ SK-2 to set up Inferno events...
The Maestro joined Nubreaks in the first week of 2008 alongside DJ Hirize to bring Smokin' Breaks to the airwaves.
