Empathy is proud to present their latest release, a collaborative effort from Mars (Russia) and The PhatRiderZ (France) – 'You Need Love'.

This funky, electro infused breaks tune combines the tech influenced synth work of Mars, with The PhatRiderZ signature bold production. The track features tight beats and filtered vocals, giving it a unique take on breakbeat. Guaranteed to smash any dance floor, 'You Need Love' is a must have for breaks lovers everywhere.

On remix duties, ex Kiwi - Melbourne based producer Opiuo takes a minimalist approach yet retains the electro/breaks feel. Featuring clever edits and slick production - Opiuo's version of 'You Need Love' is the perfect compliment to the original track.


MARS:

Russian breakbeat producer/DJ - Mars (Alexander Khilko) has achieved solo success while also working alongside breaks talents such as: Takomo (Finland), Afghan Headspin (UK), The Phat Riderz (France), XimNBass (Spain), and Motive (Russia). His unique flavour of nuskool and neurofunk has brought him the acclaim of radio stations worldwide and given him residencies on NuBreaks (USA) and NSB Radio (UK) – voted best beaks radio by breakspoll 2008. Mars has also launched his own label - XSSR Music with a focus on distribution and release of electronica from the Russian Federation.

PHATRIDERZ:

French breakbeat producers The Phat RiderZ. aka JFK & Ryos, are no strangers to the electro breaks world. With a string of releases under their belts, The Phat RiderZ have made serious waves in the scene. With their signature driving breaks and growling synth work, The PhatriderZ tunes will often put pressure on any club PA. Asides from there production skills, The PhatriderZ have been a regular fixture at the renowned bass pressure gigs in Spain.

OPIOU:

Imagine a precisely blended concoction of tight irresistible grooves, chunk fuelled bouncy beats, luscious brooding sound scapes, and a bowl filled with scrumptious glitch. Welcome to the musical world of Opiuo. A self confessed music addict with a light hearted approach to life and art. Opiuo is at his best whilst hiding from the world creating fun fuelled music. Influences coming from everything, from life changing experiences, to mere cups of tea. Incorporating sounds as varied as jazz, reggae, funk, rock,
psychedelia, and down right chunky goodness.

Originally from small town Motueka, New Zealand, he now resides in Melbourne, where he has built an international reputation for his party fuelling breaks, hip-hop, and electro creations. Many of which have seen worldwide release, and some are being played by the biggest names in the business.
