Definition:breaks 015 - Altered Beats - Bad Man Soul EP
Italian duo Altered Beats comprises of Evil Bass and Kuzam, who have been dropping beats since 1999. Not only have they had releases on Dirty Drop and Standard Audio in the last year, they also produce drum and bass tracks under the guise of Aenimal…. So when we got the chance to sign up them up we knew to expect some heavy tunes – and these 2 tracks definitely fit that description…
First up – Bad Man Soul lets rip with a rumbling wobbly filthy sub fuelled bassline riff, oldskool vocal samples, a reggae stylee breakdown, and dubstep influences – a recipe for a storming tune if there ever was one…
And “we have one more important sound we wanted you to hear” in the shape of the second track Strapovise. This one comes correct with its strong beats, driving basslines, atmosphere, and wobble – we just had to unleash this monster!!

Bill Vega - big fan of altered beats, they have a very unique sound, and its deep and dark, great stuff 8/10

Sinners Inc - Both tunes are super heavy, but "Bad Man Soul" has to be my favorite of the two. Totally loving the big driving bassline which is complimented nicely by the intricate choppy edits. Big win on both these tunes!
Chris Bass Reflections - Two big beasts here. Really loving these tunes!
Kid Chameleon - Definition breaks back again with another strong release! bring Badman Soul to the floor if you want to destroy it with a bulldozer. For the more chilled future sounds drop strapovise.
Mobius - Tought beats as you'd expect from the Definition Crew, liking the Reggae/Oldskool influence on Bad Man Soul
Duane Barry - Strapovise is nasty!! Will sound perfect in my darker sets
